What is a center of influence in the context of a Registered Investment Advisor (“RIA”)?
Definition: With respect to financial advisors, centers of influence are typically thought of as professionals in adjacent industries (accounting, legal, etc.) who might be in a position to mutually refer clients to each other.
When used in an RIA context: “The financial advisor grows his practice in part through various centers of influences he has fostered referral relationships with.”
