What is Transition Assistance?
Definition: This phrase typically refers to resources a firm provides to a financial advisor joining their platform. While it can include both tangible and intangible resources to help with the transition, the phrase is most often used to refer to upfront monetary assistance that is provided.
When used in an RIA context: “The firm is providing the financial advisor with transition assistance to help/entice them to make the transition.”
